
KAYVA YANG is an interdisciplinary artist who works primarily in movement with video, photography, and living materials on stage and in chosen places. Her work deals with body to nature intimacy, regeneration, scientific and state technologies. Her work has been shown at New York University Kimmel Center, New York; Intermedia Arts, Minneapolis, and Southern Theater, Minneapolis. She is a recipient of a 2020 The Laundromat Create Change Fellowship, a 2017 Jerome Foundation grant, and a 2018 Lower Manhattan Cultural Council grant. She has danced for jill sigman/ think dance, Dustin Maxwell, Pramila Vasudevan/ Aniccha Arts, and Dr. Ananya Chatterjea/ Ananya Dance Theatre. Kayva produces performance and live art at The Museum of Modern Art. She served on the Movement Research Artists of Color Council. She holds an M.A. in Arts and Public Policy from New York University.
